The SL-M8130 from the Shimano XT series can be attached to the right side of the handlebars using a clamp. This is the right shifter for the Linkglide 11-speed drivetrain, which was specifically developed for e-bikes and punishing applications in the touring and MTB sector. The levers are easily accessible and easy to operate, and as with all Rapidfire Plus models, thanks to 2-Way Release technology, the shift cable can be released both by pulling with the index finger and by thumb pressure. In addition, Instant Release speeds up the gear change, which is typically fast and defined. An Optislick inner cable, which supports the function thanks to its coating, is supplied with the shifting handle. Note that there is no compatibility with non-linkglide rear derailleurs due to the different cable ratio.

Rapidfire Plus
Rapidfire Plus is a type of Shimano shift lever construction that has been common in the mountain bike sector since 1985. Two levers, the main lever and the release lever, are used instead of a twist shifter. Rapidfire Plus shift levers, as the name suggests, ensure fast shifting. It is also possible to downshift up to three gears with one stroke.

2-Way-Release
With 2-Way-Release, the shifter can be pressed and pulled to shift to the smaller sprocket or chainring. This allows you to adjust the shifting process to your personal preferences. Most Rapidfire Plus shifters are equipped with 2-Way Release.

Instant Release
With Instant Release, the spring and thus the cable are released immediately when the lever is actuated, which ensures an enormously fast shifting process. The delay caused by a two-step shifting process with click and release is eliminated, so that the gear change is considerably accelerated and improved.
